A little more about me.
Engineer, author and founder, with more than 25 years of experience turning ideas into working digital products.
The early years
Where it all began
I was born on August 2, 1981 in the Republic of Moldova, in Eastern Europe. I grew up in Bălți, the country’s second-largest city, where I completed eleven years of school and earned my baccalaureate. In 2001 I graduated from Bălți Polytechnic College with a degree in computer engineering, and those years also brought an honorable mention at the National Mathematics Olympiad of the Republic of Moldova.
Stories before software
As a student I tried my hand at science fiction. I wrote a few short stories and sent them to Creative Artists Agency, hoping someone there would take an interest. Nobody did. The manuscripts stayed in a drawer, but the habit they taught me, imagining how something could work and then writing it down clearly enough for someone else to follow, is the one I still use every day. I set it aside for years; now I write science fiction again, for the joy of it.
A company of my own
In 2006 I founded GLT Design in Bălți. What began as a small studio grew into a full-service company: publishing services, hardware and software maintenance, custom software development, business-automation software and website development. We built our own content-management system and offered it as a service, keeping the source code in-house. We also built automation products for restaurants, fitness clubs and shops, which grew into the BarTender and FitTender line, with licensing and reporting built in.
A new country, and today
A new chapter across the ocean
In 2019 I emigrated to the United States and settled in Washington State. In 2021 I joined 2Morrow Inc., a digital-health company in Kirkland, as a software engineer: moving legacy platforms to modern PHP, designing encryption for protected health information, integrating single sign-on and fitness trackers, and mentoring the engineers around me. Today I lead technical strategy and architecture there as Principal Software Engineer, and since 2023 I have run Syntexsys alongside it.

From the first idea to what comes next
My work spans planning, product strategy, system design, software development, launch and ongoing improvement. I connect the technical decisions with the practical needs of the people who will use the product. That means thinking about the whole lifecycle, from defining the problem to keeping the solution useful over time.
Building companies and products
I founded Syntexsys and GLT Design. Through these companies, my work brings together custom software, infrastructure and business automation. The product portfolio includes Scantora, BarTender and FitTender, alongside the ongoing Intvigo project and the planned ShopTender product.

I wrote AI for Small Business Owners, the first title in The 50 Practical Ways Series: fifty practical ways to automate the work a small business is still paying people to do, written as an engineer who has spent more than 25 years building the software businesses run on. The idea is straightforward: practical books that help people who run things apply useful ideas to real work. The book is in final production and will be available soon on Amazon.
Across engineering, entrepreneurship and writing, my focus is on turning a useful idea into something people can put to work.
